Postpartum Support group

Welcome to a transformative safe space of refuge, retreat, healing, connection, and empowerment – "It Takes A Village" Postpartum Melanated Mommy Tribe Support Group brought to you by The Melanated Mommy Tribe in collaboration with Life Begins Here Therapeutic & Counseling Services facilitated by mom of 2, wife, mental health and holistic wellness licensed therapist and clinical social worker, trained birth doula and Certified perinatal mental health (PMH-C) with 15 years of experience...a true combination of lived and professional experience with clinician Dr. Kim LO.

What/ Who:

• This immersive 6-week online experience is tailor-made for Black mothers navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood with kids 0-3 years old.
• This safe haven is where I hope you'll find solace, understanding, confirmation and a tribe that truly gets you and your experiences navigating Black motherhood and how it impacts your mental health. Through meaningful discussions, therapeutic practices, education, resources and shared stories, we will embark on a profound path of self-discovery, inspiration and empowerment, embracing our identities as Black mothers, and nurturing our well-being. When Black women are well our families and the world at large prosper!
• We will explore several topics such as postpartum depression and anxiety, feeling a lack of balance and time for self, friendships, relationships, holistic health and wellness, spirituality, support system, self-care, helpful resources, etc.
• This is a CLOSED group, which means it will be the same members each session. We are looking for mommies who can commit to the full 6 weeks. Closed groups are great for building trust, developing rapport and truly getting to know one another in hopes of developing a lasting relationship through our Melanated Mommy Tribe community.

When:

• This group will be held virtually during the middle of the week every Wednesday during lunch time (12- 1 PM EST). So feel free to let your hair down, enjoy your lunch and connect with us for an hour to give you a woosah moment and a reset at the middle of your week. 
• The group dates are Jan 17th, Jan 24th, Jan 31st, Feb 7th and Feb 14th!
• The spaces are limited to 12 mommies to keep the space intimate; so be sure to register as soon as possible before spaces fill up. Once we reach capacity the group will close until the next group series we offer.
• Groups will be held virtually via Zoom, Google Meets or Teams (links will be sent out 24-48 hours to the email registered with prior to group).

Cost:

Payment options for 5-week series::

• 5-week series: $225 (due when registering)
• Pay half when registering: $125 and remaining balance $125 (due 1/31/24)
• $25 discount for paying full fee in advance.
