Licensed Clinician LCSW/LMFT/LPC




Life Begins Here Therapeutic & Counseling Services is a private practice located in Atlanta, GA that currently serves teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, etc. We specialize in working with BIPOC individuals and in helping them through various life experiences and areas such as Relationships, LGBTQI, Divorce, Motherhood, and Careers.

We are expanding our group practice and are welcoming other practice specialties to complement our current office specialties. The licensed clinician would operate as an independent contractor within our office and have access to office resources, and the opportunity to build a client base within the Life Begins Here Therapeutic & Counseling Services community.


The clinician must be able to work well with a team as well as independently with great autonomy. The clinician may be required to work with individuals, couples and/ or groups. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

In light of COVID-19, the clinician will conduct telehealth (virtual) sessions from the comfort of their private home office for now. We will provide the platform to host virtual sessions and access to a HIPPA compliant cloud based EHR system. 

Job Requirements:

  • Maintain a weekly minimum of clinical sessions

  • Must be fully licensed in the state of Georgia (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT)

  • Candidate must be willing to become credentialed with insurance panels

  • Candidate will ideally have day, evening, some weekend availability and flexibility with hours- some evenings and weekends required

  • Demonstrates knowledge of ethical principles and applies appropriately

  • Maintains appropriate professional boundaries in various clinical and professional relationships

  • Demonstrates sound clinical and ethical skills while providing interventions to clients

  • Warm, professional, excellent communicator (written and verbal)

  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and as a part of a team, however able to work independently and be self-motivated

  • Sensitive to and affirming of diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently on insurance panels

  • Experience working in a private practice setting

  • Experience/desire to work with African American women and other BIPOC individuals, couples and/ or groups.

  • Fully licensed for >1 year

  • Desire to work evenings and weekends.

Administrative Assistant

Full Time Contract Position

Life Begins Here Therapeutic & Counseling Services is a mental and behavioral health private practice located in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a full time administrative assistant to work under the direction of the Clinical Director. Administrative Assistant would work 25-30 hours per week, Monday- Friday, performing administrative duties in a thriving and dynamic group practice. Responsibilities can currently be carried out remotely however position may require some occasional in person office tasks.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited:

  • Manage emails, schedule intake appointments with appropriate therapist, answer potential client questions, etc.

  • Check insurance benefits

  • Follow up on insurance claims

  • Handle billing responsibilities (i.e. file insurance claims, bill for sessions, address client billing inquiries, etc.)

  • Communicate with clinicians regarding scheduling and other office matters.

  • Assist with marketing via social media

  • Keep EHR client files organized and manage intake paperwork collection

  • Assist clinical director with any other administrative needs that fall within this role.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Displays professionalism verbally and non-verbally

  • Able to work as a team

  • Able to work independently on tasks assigned

  • Good communication skills; written and verbal

  • Connects with practice’s mission and values

  • Outgoing and personable

  • Administrative Assistant experience

  • Arrange internal and external meetings

  • Proficiency in MS Office, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of Google Docs and Google Drive

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has previously worked as an administrative assistant in a mental health practice.

  • Has a desire to work in the field of mental health.

  • Has experience working with diverse populations, specifically those who are apart of marginalized communities.
